Your Library Card
Who can get a card
We encourage all Arlington residents to get a card! Citizens, young and old, are encouraged to enjoy our library.
How to Get Your Card
Proof of a local physical address is a requirement to receive a library card at the Arlington Public Library.
Acceptable identification is an Oregon ID Card or a valid Oregon Drivers License with a current address. If your ID or DL doesn't have an Arlington address we will require proof of residency. Acceptable documents: lease agreement, utility bill, auto insurance (with local address).
Citizens seeking library cards will be checked for outstanding charges in the Sage Library System prior to issuing a local library card.
Children can also be issued a card with the agreement and valid library card of legal guardian.
Borrowing Limits
New patrons have a checkout limit of two items for the first six months then at the discretion of the library staff the limits may be increased to six or more items.
Placing Holds
Please request assistance from the library staff.
Renewing Your Borrowed Items
Items can be renewed using the SageCat app on your device or you can call or stop by the library for assistance.
Library Fines
Please be considerate to others using the library and bring materials back on time.
There will be no fines for overdue books; however, if books are damaged, lost or overdue more than three weeks, replacement fees may be applied.
